Community Health Advocates (CHA) Program
What is CHA?
Community Health Advocates is part of a network of 29 Community-based Organizations that help people get access to health care or insurance coverage in their communities and throughout New York State. Our mission is to help New Yorkers get the care they need in the neighborhoods where they live and work.
Community Health Advocates are available to serve Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Greene, Columbia, and Saratoga County residents.
CHA Services:
- Resolving medical billing issues and debt
- Help with financial assistance programs and payment plans
- Finding low-cost prescriptions
- Understanding Medicare
- Answer questions about benefits
- Connect you to a navigator for enrollment assistance
- Dispute coverage denials
- Accessing affordable health care services
